Kid Friendly Granola Bars

Being stuck at home has definitely aloud for lots of free time. One thing I enjoy doing when I do have the time is baking/cooking.

A couple years ago, my mom would make her own granola bars. They were loaded with dry fruits, oats, and honey. I would eat those over Cliff bars any day! I’ll have to share that recipe another day.

Last week, when I was out buying groceries, I had picked up a box of granola bars that my kids usually have in their snack baskets and just so happened to look at the food label. It wasn’t the amount of sugar that struck me, it was the amount of ingredients in them that immediately made me realize I couldn’t give my kids these. I knew how to make my own. I had done so with my mom. So, that is exactly what I did! The exciting part is, this was the first time I have used my snack bar maker set!

This recipe was so simple and tasted delicious, even before it’s put into the fridge! No baking needed for this one. The kids were excited about the marshmallows and chocolate chips. While I was excited that I was able to add in chia seeds and they don’t even know it.

The process took about 20 minutes due to the cool down time. This was to prevent the marshmallows and chocolate from melting. Theres also so many other options you could use instead of the chocolate And marshmallows to make these extra healthy.

Also, I must add, I am loving this silicone tray! They were super easy to shape, and they pop out without a fuss. You can bake with it, and there‘s endless recipes you can make, too!

Do you have a favorite granola bar recipe? If so, please do share in the comments below! I’ll be sure to share the recipe down below.
